I think your program still needs work. You show the Pens finishing 54-20-8. The problem is they already have 9 OTL. I know the NHL would kill for the Pens to get home ice advantage but not even Bettman would change an OTL to a win.

Your projected standings change significantly on a nightly basis depending on results. Doesn't that tell you that your formula sucks? What's the point of projecting standings if you just change them every day?

The Rangers have a terrible record against Montreal & were swept by them this year, the Rangers have a better record against their divisional rivals, sometimes you have to be careful for what you wish for!
